THE ROLE:
SEMI fosters innovation & collaboration across the global electronics supply chain through its 15 Technology Communities, 4 Smart Initiatives, 150 committees and 15 partners offering a wealth of opportunities for business and professional growth.
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to drive strategic technical initiatives that align with organizational goals, lead and manage collaborative projects to address critical challenges, and create new revenue-generating products and services. In addition, the Program Manager will build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, provide technical oversight and guidance, and stay updated with industry trends. This is a full-time, exempt position which reports directly to the Senior Director of Manufacturing Collaboration and is based in Milpitas, CA.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Planning and Execution
- Drive strategic technical initiatives that align with organizational goals
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues that arise
Product/Service Development & Leadership
- Lead, Plan & Manage Member Collaborative Projects & Working Groups (WG) to address common critical challenges and drive execution to achieve mission and deliverables
- Create new revenue-generating product and/or services offerings for the community (e.g. Assessment models, technology solution use case databases, etc.)
- Data Analysis & Technical Support for Collaborative Projects & Products
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key member stakeholders (as primary contact for communication)
- Communicate initiative and/or project vision, goals, and progress effectively to internal or external stakeholders
- Engage with the SEMI Membership team to identify, recruit, and onboard new members
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment
Technical Expertise
- Provide technical oversight, guidance, support & insights to ensure project success
- Stay updated with industry trends and integrate best practices into projects
- Contribute to member-led efforts such as roadmaps, frameworks, requirements, gap analysis etc.
- Analyze member-requested surveys on technical, engineering, and logistics topics
Workflow Processes and Improvement
- Automate and improve existing workflows
- Build, maintain and optimize existing inquiry databases (e.g. VBA programming) and track member requests
- Analyze and maintain existing software applications and databases (e.g., SalesForce, NetSuite)

- The program manager creates and runs high-value, interactive programs where members get to collaborate and network in a fun and productive environment, both in-person and on-line
- Members feel important and valued, and are responded to promptly
- Membership continues to increase, and member retention rates remain high
CRITICIAL SKILLS:
- Semiconductor Product Design and/or Manufacturing Experience
- Technical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Displaying strong presentation skills with comfort and credibility
- Program Management experience
- Strong communication skills - verbal, written, and presentation
- Problem solving, planning & execution
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-Motivated, Accountable & Dependable

KNOWLEDGE OR EXPERIENCE:
- MS.in relevant engineering or related disciplines
- Semiconductor/Electronics product development (design or manufacturing) experience (min. 3 years)
- 3+ years’ experience in technical program/project management, PMP certification a plus
- Strong English communication (speaking, writing, presenting) and cross-cultural skills are necessary
- Demonstrated business acumen and experience on developing new revenue generating offerings
- Experience with CRM (SalesForce), Microsoft Office, & Social Media (LinkedIn)
- Experience with website maintenance & survey tools (e.g. Qualtrics, Survey Monkey, etc.) desired but can train
- Expected travel < 10%
