Job Summary:
The Copywriter focuses on creating impactful messaging for websites, landing pages, ads, and other marketing collateral. You excel at writing across a variety of formats and are deeply involved in campaign planning and messaging. Your copy drives engagement, supports strategic marketing goals, and resonates with target audiences at every stage of the customer journey.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Craft compelling copy for website pages, landing pages, video scripts, direct mail, ads, and other campaign-related materials.
- Ensure copy aligns with brand voice and supports broader marketing goals, including lead generation and conversion.
- Assist in campaign planning and messaging, aligning copy with campaign objectives and audience needs at every stage of the funnel.
- Develop messaging that supports our value proposition, focusing on the macro challenges, needs, and concerns of our target audience.
- Conduct research to understand the needs, challenges, and motivations of our audience and tailor copy accordingly.
- Review and edit content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to brand guidelines and tone.
- Deeply understand audience behaviours to deliver the right message at the right time, maximizing engagement and conversion.
- Follow and help develop the company’s brand voice and writing guidelines.
- Follow industry best practices, stay informed of new trends, and look for continuous inspiration.
What You’ll Bring to the Role:
- 2-4 years of copywriting, content marketing, communications or journalism experience
- Proven copywriting skills with expertise in writing for multiple formats including webpages, ads, event collateral, and more with a specific focus on web and campaign-specific content
- Exceptional capability to craft compelling multimedia narratives that resonate with target audiences and effectively convey brand messages
- Proficiency with SEO principles and conversion-focused copywriting
- Demonstrated experience using digital and/or print content to generate leads
- Strong collaboration skills to work cross-functionally to ensure consistent messaging across channels
- Experience developing and executing copy that aligns with marketing and campaign goals
- Strong editing abilities and expertise in writing clean copy that requires little editing, with an openness and willingness receive feedback through the editing process and a commitment to delivering content that's best-in-class
- Effective project management and time management skills to manage multiple writing projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining high quality
- Creativity to find compelling approaches that cut through an ever-changing landscape
- Continuous improvement mindset to continuously seek out ways to improve copywriting processes and elevate effectiveness
- Experience working in a Creative Agency setting is an asset
