Job Summary:
The Testing Platform Intern will be responsible for supporting the administration of the iCEV Testing Platform, including maintaining certification records, communicating with customers, writing letters, and supporting applications for state certification approval. The successful candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a strong attention to detail. This role will involve working closely with our certification team and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our certification programs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintains certification records and documentation in accordance with established procedures and standards, including letter of support records and processes for state certification application
- Communicates with customers, remote teammates, other intern, and other iCEV departments.
- Assists with the planning and execution of certification-related events, such as training sessions and workshops.
- Learn industry trends and maintain knowledge of developments related to certification programs and makes recommendations for program improvements.
- Assist marketing team in printing and shipping paper certificates to certification earners.
- Utilizing personal network for special projects, like obtaining letters supporting industry certifications.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, interested businesses, and other iCEV departments.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
- Knowledge of certification program administration and testing administration is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with remote members.
- Customer service-oriented, with a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
- Quick learner.
- Ability to write for a variety of audiences.
- Proficient in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and other written English skills.

Education & Experience:
- Progress towards a Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred, such as education, business, or communications.
- 1-2 years of experience in an office environment is preferred.
- Career and Technical Education background is preferred.
Language Skills
This position requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret federal and state policy, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. The candidate must also possess the ability to write reports and business correspondence. Finally, they must have the ability to effectively deliver information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Reasoning Ability
- This position requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, as well as the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands
- This position spends the majority of the day sitting. Good hand dexterity is required for the daily functions of this position (ex. using hands to feel, handle, type). It also requires frequent talking and hearing. It also requires close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), color vision, and depth perception.
- This position must occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and may need to lift between 10-25 lbs.
- Ability to travel daily to and from office.
Work Environment
- Moderate noise (ex. business office with computers, printers, and light traffic) is common.
- This position will work out of the Lubbock, Texas office and is expected to work a minimum of 15 hours per week.
