About the Team
The Assessment Delivery Operations function (~about 80 people) is responsible for managing the organization’s digital operations, from onboarding and preparing test centers and students through active management of the test administration. This integrated team also includes publications management and a supply chain and logistics function to support other critical assessment delivery needs for College Board programs.
About the Opportunity
As Director, Logistics and Fulfillment, you will serve as the deputy to the Sr. Director to lead and support key initiatives and escalation processes. You will have the primary responsibility of managing the College Board’s Global Device Management program. This capability is a critical part of the organization’s digital assessment delivery model and a key access initiative to deliver against our commitment that any student who needs a device to take the Digital SAT or AP exam will have access to one. This role requires an operational generalist who possesses the analytical, project and technology skills to design and deliver effective business processes.
In this role, you will:
Develop and execute aprogram to support Digital AP Device Lending (30%)
- Participate in vendor selection
- Identifyglobal inventory needs; coordinate with Procurement team and vendor/partners to purchase inventory
- Implement communication and triage strategies to manage program costs while ensuring effective support to schools
- Ensure school needs are supported across a range of technologies, potentially including laptops/Chromebooks and Wi-Fi routers
Manage existing process related to Digital SAT Device Lending (35%)
- Review student requests and provide approval/denial
- Manage outreach process that ensures devices are loaned to students with true need
- Manage escalations, including unique student/Coordinator situations and shipments to remote destinations
- Monitor inventory levels, including lifespan management of existing device pools
- Work with partners in technology to manage end-to-end order flow and inventory using Test Device Management (TDM) system
- Work with partners in technology team to maintain Chrome Operating Units for loaner devices
- Work with procurement and Test Administration Management teams to manage vendors
Provide leadership for ad hoc project, escalations process management and team functions as needed (35%)
- Design, drive and deliver projects or improvements across the entire Logistics and Fulfillment team, including paper fulfillment, transportation tracking and device management
- Identify and implement cost savings initiatives
- Work with technology teams to implement systems enhancements
- Provide backup, including team coaching and support, when the Sr Director, Logistics and Fulfillment is unavailable
- Identify and champion areas for improvement across the team including, for example, initiatives that will improve team member engagement
About You
You have:
- 5+ years of project or program management experience, ideally with a focus on operations and vendor management
- Ability to focus on end-user needs and gather clear requirements
- Strong organization and prioritization skills and the proven ability to move forward multiple projects in concert, both independently and as a member of the team
- Adept problem-solving skills, including using data to inform decisions and actions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience managing relationships with third-party resources and vendors
- A passion for supporting educational and career opportunities for millions of students
- Potential travel 2-3 times a year to vendor sites
- Knowledge of emerging trends and best practice in global logistics (specifically related to shipment of electronics) preferred
- Excellent PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skills
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- You are authorized to work in the United States

The hiring range for a new employee in this position is $80,000 to $120,000. College Board differentiates salaries by location so where you live will narrow the portion of this range in which you can expect a salary.
