MiaPrep Online High School (MOHS) is a fully remote, private high school option for students and families who want to combine the flexibility and freedom of homeschooling with the resources and confidence that come from working with highly qualified teachers and academic advisors.
As Vice President of MOHS, you'll shape the school's strategic direction and drive business growth while maintaining a high standard of academic excellence. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is a crucial member of the leadership team, responsible for inspiring and directing their faculty and fostering an environment of innovation. Your expertise will be vital in scaling MiaPrep’s operations, refining their educational framework, and empowering their students to achieve high levels of success.
Major Responsibilities
- Strategic Growth: Lead the development and implementation of innovative strategies to expand enrollment, explore new program opportunities, and enhance the school’s reputation, globally, in the online education market.
- Strong Business Acumen: Demonstrate a deep understanding of core business principles to make data- informed decisions that align with organizational goals. Leverage financial, operational, and market data to drive growth, optimize efficiency, and strengthen competitive positioning.
- Operational Efficiency: Boost productivity and scalability by streamlining processes and optimizing organizational effectiveness.
- Academic Vision: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of the school's effectiveness in achieving its educational goals and mission. Maintain a strong focus on academic quality while fostering the institution’s commitment to excellence and global visibility.
- Data Analytics: Develop and execute a framework for the strategic use of data; support the team in using student and staff performance data to drive improved teaching and learning
- Collaborative Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional partners to maximize MiaPrep's ability to support students’ academic and individual development
- Hiring Prioritization: Anticipate and strategically plan for future hiring needs, making choices in the recruitment and onboarding of staff that align with the school’s mission
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by evaluating processes, optimizing operations, and implementing best practices. Encourage innovative solutions, data-driven decisions, and actions that enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Several years’ experience driving growth for an EdTech company
- Strong leadership and team building expertise
- Experience creating and implementing operations for scalable growth
- Experience in using data to inform decisions and solve problems
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- Remote opportunity, located anywhere within the U.S.
