THE ROLE

PlayOn! Sports is looking for a HR Data & Insights Analyst to turn people data into meaningful insights. Our ideal candidate combines the analytical prowess of a Business Intelligence Analyst with the curiosity and passion for people of a psychologist.
Responsibilities: The position you’ll play
Connect data across sources:
• Actively support the people team in collecting data and ensure accuracy and currency of people data across systems.
• Connect, validate, and cross-reference all people-related data from multiple sources to identify inconsistencies and patterns (e.g. leadership effectiveness)
Turn people data into insights:
• Generate accurate, holistic, and user-friendly insights for diverse audiences, including People Ops, leadership, and the board.
• Create quarterly talent health decks and dashboards for ongoing decision-making and coaching (from engagement action items to performance plans)
Enable and evaluate change:
• Identify user-friendly methods to drive accountability and evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives with minimal disruption to the business.
• Own HRIS system and spearhead the evaluation and implementation of new software and tools, starting with performance management and organizational KPIs tracking.
KPIs: The points you need to score:
• Adoption and utilization of people-related dashboards & metrics.
• Accurate modeling of scenarios based on current and historic data.
• Impact of change initiatives on employee performance, engagement, and morale.
THE PERSON
Requirements: The skills & training you’ll need to succeed
• Experimental Design: Proficient in establishing hypothesis and gathering data to test them with minimal disruption to the business (i.e. this is the real world, not a science project)
• Data Analysis: Ability to clean, transform, and manipulate large datasets to extract meaningful insights from qualitative and quantitative data leveraging Excel and statistical software (e.g., R, Python).
• Communication and Presentation skills: Strong sense of ownership and accountability for data initiatives. Ability to present data-driven insights to a variety of stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
• Resilience and Adaptability: Ability to navigate ambiguity while maintaining data integrity (we’re in growth phase). Strong sense of ownership and accountability with a willingness to roll-up sleeves.
• Reporting and Visualization: Experience creating user friendly dashboards and reports that visualize HR metrics and trends using BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
• HR Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of HRIS systems and HR processes, practices, and metrics such as employee turnover rates, retention, recruitment metrics, etc.
• Degree in I/O Psychology or a related field
