About this Role:
As a D2L Senior Solutions Engineer, you'll spend every day helping those around you get the most out of D2L products and services. You'll help prospective and existing clients by understanding their unique needs and proposing a solution including D2L products and services to meet those needs. Your passion for teaching and learning makes people want to open up to you, and your expertise in learning technology and how to accomplish nearly anything using the D2L platform makes you a trusted advisor. You're excited to speak to everyone from students and instructors to a CIO or CEO, and your demos and presentations provoke gasps of amazement, if not outright applause.
How You'll Make an Impact:
The Senior Solutions Engineer is an expert in D2L products and services, assists Sales in qualifying and planning for client engagements, gathering client requirements, and writing/presenting/demoing proposed solutions to clients. Specific duties include:
- Develop and deliver custom demos and presentations that are simple and engaging, leaving your audience eager to use Brightspace
- Support the sales process by acting as expert in D2L products and services, including functionality, usage, architecture, and deployment
- Assist Sales in qualifying opportunities and planning client engagement and win strategy
- Align client’s needs, goals, and objectives to D2L solutions; develop proposals and help to write RFP responses
- Actively drive and manage prospective clients’ technology evaluation, using your knowledge of the business environment, competitive landscape, and Brightspace differentiators
- Provide support to Sales Executives in closing deals and exceeding revenue objectives in an assigned territory
- Transition accounts and communicate business requirements to implementation teams
What You'll Bring to the Role:
- Experience in a related role such as teaching, training, instructional design, educational administration or consulting; further experience in pre-sales consulting viewed advantageously
- Experience with sandbox configurations is ideal
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, customer service skills, product demonstration, and presentation skills
- Basic understanding of web and database technology
- Knowledge of or prior experience with LMS or other learning technology is a strong asset
- Proven ability to craft a solution and develop proposals and RFP responses with appropriate products and services based on client discussions
- Willing and able to travel 25%
- Fluent in English and Dutch and understanding of how business practices within EMEA
