Pearson is seeking an experienced Director, Application Product Management to lead and shape the strategic direction of our Higher Education International product roadmap. This pivotal role involves driving product innovation, aligning strategies across global teams, and delivering cutting-edge technology solutions that create lasting value for learners and educators.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy Development: Design and implement a forward-looking product strategy aligned with Higher Education’s mission and goals. Translate strategic vision into actionable product roadmaps and milestones.
Leadership: Build and manage a global team of product managers, fostering a high-performance culture that values collaboration, innovation, and customer-centricity.
Product Execution: Oversee product roadmaps, innovation design, and customer feedback forums. Define and monitor success metrics such as utilization, satisfaction, and ROI.
Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including Technology, UX, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success, to ensure timely delivery of products that exceed customer expectations.
Customer Value: Stay informed on market trends and emerging technologies to create differentiated experiences that delight customers and maintain a competitive edge.
Desired Outcomes:
Achieve measurable growth in customer satisfaction, engagement (e.g., DAU, MAU), and ROI.
Develop scalable product strategies that drive revenue and customer growth in competitive markets.
Inspire a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and purpose-driven collaboration across the global product organization.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a strategic and entrepreneurial leader with a proven track record in product management, strong technical and business acumen, and a passion for creating meaningful solutions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Ideal Experience:
Industry Expertise: Background in B2B, B2B2C, or SaaS technology, with experience in subscription-based or digital service models. EdTech experience is a plus.
Product Leadership: Demonstrated success in developing and delivering innovative products, managing roadmaps, and improving customer outcomes in global markets.
Team Leadership: Skilled at building and scaling diverse, high-performing teams, particularly in global, geographically dispersed organizations.
Growth Mindset: Proven ability to drive organic growth through product innovation and market insights.
Key Skills:
Strategic vision with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans.
Strong customer focus, using data-driven approaches for decision-making.
Collaborative leadership style with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Technical acumen to engage effectively with engineering and UX teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
6+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years in leadership roles.
Proficiency in agile development, UX principles, and SaaS product lifecycle management.
Passion for education and a desire to create transformative learning experiences.
