Only applicants living in the greater Chicagoland area will be considered.
Travel: Ability and willingness to be on-site locally (regularly) and regionally (semi-regularly). This is an on-site, field-based / work-from-home position and the successful candidate is expected to reside in the Chicagoland area.

OPPORTUNITY
The Literacy Expert will be tasked with driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing opportunities. The role focuses on building strong relationships with schools and districts, understanding their unique needs, and providing tailored solutions to meet their goals.
The Literacy Expert is responsible for being an expert literacy resource for the client and will effectively counsel schools and districts on solutions that will best meet their needs. Our Literacy Experts are leaders within the ThinkCERCA organization and go the extra mile for their prospective clients and students. WHO YOU ARE

YOUR ROLE
- Be part of a team.
- The Literacy Expert will be responsible for winning new school and district partnerships in the midwest, specifically Illinois and the Chicagoland area.
- Working with our Marketing team, you will design and execute sales campaigns to build pipelines and close new accounts.
- The Literacy Expert will work with our Customer Success team to expand our existing district partnerships.
- Attend conferences and attend regional events
- Create email campaigns including writing all content and gathering appropriate marketing materials
- Prepare and deliver proposals to clients
- Track email campaigns looking for trends to optimize future sends
- Manage activities in CRM (Hubspot)
- Develop strong relationship with customers through positive interaction
- Monitor trends in education to identify opportunities
- Support fellow team members in their development and work together to provide the highest level of excellence in customer experience
- Additional responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate for this role:
- Education specialist with strong 3-12 knowledge in literacy; secondary knowledge and experience preferred.
- In-person teaching experience; experience in Chicago Public Schools highly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in teaching ELA (preferably a diverse range of students)
- District level or school level leadership experience preferred
- Expert on education standards, current education pedagogy, and market trends.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Highly organized, self-directed, and process-oriented with excellent analytical and pragmatic problem-solving abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills - the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels, facilitate discussions, understand partner needs, devise strategies, provide recommendations
- Ability to diagnose customer needs and challenges, and to translate those needs into actionable solutions
- Demonstrated service-delivery experience with educational SaaS solutions
