The Insights, Strategy, and Development (ISD) team aims to advance Amplify’s professional development strategy by enhancing and expanding PD resources, developing a visionary approach for digital learning and PD offerings, and continuously refining these resources and programs to support effective Amplify product implementation and improve student outcome. As the Director, Professional Development Strategic Partnerships, you will lead the execution of high-impact professional development partnerships, fostering collaboration that drives student growth and achieves strategic goals, particularly in support of math initiatives. Serving as the primary point of contact, you will build strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure their needs are being met while managing a diverse portfolio of partnerships, each with individual goals. In this role, you will strategically plan and analyze partner engagements, oversee the development and delivery of tailored training programs, and monitor partnership health. Your leadership will be essential in creating a supportive environment that not only meets but exceeds the expectations of our partners and stakeholders.
Essential Responsibilities:
Partnership Strategy
- Collaborative planning:
- Shape and deliver a strategic plan that aligns with partnership frameworks and addresses shared priorities.

Partnership management
- Primary point of contact: Serve as the primary point of contact for professional development partnerships, cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Diverse partnership management: Manage a variety of partnerships, each with distinct goals and objectives, to ensure alignment and drive success.
- Effective issue resolution: Proactively identify and resolve any issues or concerns that arise, consider opportunities/challenges, and ensure timely and effective solutions.
- Effective communication and collaboration: Demonstrate strong communication skills at the organizational levels, building relationships with both internal and external partners.
- Stakeholder reporting: Deliver clear, compelling, and comprehensive partnership updates to internal and external stakeholders that highlight impact, supported by data and key insights.
Performance monitoring
- Key performance monitoring: Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to assess partnership success and identify areas for improvement.
- Reporting and updates: Provide timely reports and updates to both internal and external stakeholders on partnership status and progress towards goals.
- Collaborative execution: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality execution and drive successful outcomes to each project plan.
Training and development
- Tailored training development: Develop and implement training programs and resources tailored to each partner's project plan to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the company’s products and services, with a focus on math-related initiatives.
- Large-scale training events: Plan and execute large-scale training events for partners to enhance their engagement and proficiency in product and service updates, including specialized sessions on math programs and resources.
- Team recruitment and management: Recruit and manage a team of contractors to develop and facilitate training sessions, ensuring high-quality delivery that aligns with outlined objectives, particularly in math education.
- Strategic planning and visioning: Anticipate future partner needs and industry trends to create and implement comprehensive training strategies that align with organizational goals and enhance overall effectiveness.
Manage Execution & Implementation
- Project execution and implementation: Lead multiple projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and successful execution. Track project progress closely, making necessary adjustments to ensure deadlines are met. Track project milestones and deliverables, ensuring timely completion and effective management.
- Deliverable management and reporting: Ensure all project deliverables are met on time and within budget, maintaining high standards of quality. Report on project outcomes, maintain appropriate documentation, and share status, progress, and impact to team leadership, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related work experience
- 8+ years of experience in a partnership role (e.g., partner success, account management, client management) preferably in an edtech company or Educational Leadership role in K12 or Higher Education
- Understanding of math education and the math education market
- Proven experience leading large-scale projects in an education setting, including planning, budgeting, prioritizing, and running work streams across multiple stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication skills, including oral, written, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated experience leading teams; ability to engage with and build relations with senior leadership
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to travel nationally, not expected to exceed 20% of the time on average
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s or advanced degree
- Experience with Illustrative Math, Desmos Math, or Amplify Math, including coaching educators in their use
- Experience in the field of education, school / district leadership, educational publishing / technology
What we offer:
Salary is only one component of the Amplify Total Rewards package, which includes a 401(k) plan, competitive health insurance and mental health options, basic life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and access to best-in-class development programs. The gross salary range for this role is $130,000 - $145,000. This role is eligible to earn an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
