We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead our B2C prospective student marketing efforts for our client portfolio of online graduate programs. The AVP of Digital Marketing will be responsible for developing and implementing omni channel marketing strategies to drive qualified lead volume to help meet and exceed program specific enrollment goals. This role requires deep understanding of performance metrics, a creative mindset and strong leadership skills to effectively manage external digital agencies and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive B2C prospective graduate student marketing strategies and lead generation campaigns to achieve client KPIs, including but not limited to adult learner customer acquisition, revenue growth and ROI optimization.
Performance Management: Oversee all aspects of performance marketing, including planning, budget execution and analysis. Monitor and optimize advertising budgets to ensure efficient allocation and maximum ROI. Utilizing data insights developed by Performance Marketing Analyst and working in collaboration with our agency partners, continuously optimize campaigns through A/B testing, audience segmentation and performance analysis to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
Vendor Management: Manage external digital marketing agencies, with a focus on media placement and prioritizing key initiatives to drive forward campaign performance. Help lead weekly agency meetings.
Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring campaign performance expectations and ROI/ROAS are exceeded for continued investment. Demonstrate the highest level of collaboration, partnership and Elsmere values based interactions.
Budget Management: Manage monthly digital marketing budgets effectively, allocating resources strategically to maximize impact and efficiency across the portfolio.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of performance marketing and digital marketing staff, providing guidance, support and ongoing development opportunities to maximize their performance and potential.
Data Analytics: Working with Performance Marketing Analyst, utilize data-driven insights to continuously evaluate campaign performance, identify areas for improvement and optimize marketing efforts to achieve KPIs and ROI targets. Provide performance reports to clients, highlighting key insights and recommendations for improvement. Prepare reports and presentations to senior management of Elsmere and university partners, providing insights into campaign performance, key metrics and actionable recommendations.
Brand Management: Uphold brand standards and guidelines of university partners across all digital channels, ensuring consistency and authenticity in messaging and visual representation.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and higher education industry best practices, particularly regarding data privacy and advertising standards.
Collaboration: Foster strong partnerships with internal teams, including enrollment and student success, to leverage student feedback for agile marketing and to build cohesive cross-platform campaigns.

Skills/Requirements:

Deep experience in the digital marketing and performance marketing space within an agency or in-house, managing large scale, conversion-focused direct response accounts
A Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field/discipline
Minimum 8 years of experience managing digital marketing/performance marketing teams, budget and results.
In-depth knowledge of Google Ads, Meta Ads, and other digital advertising platforms
Highly skilled in developing and optimizing paid campaigns across all established and emerging social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snap, YouTube, etc)
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics)
A successful people manager with the ability to lead, develop and grow a team, with success in employee motivation, engagement, up-skilling, satisfaction and retention
Deep understanding of digital marketing channels, trends and best practices, with a passion for staying ahead of the curve with industry trends, search engine algorithm updates to ensure our strategies remain cutting-edge and effective
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Prior higher education experience marketing to students strongly preferred
Denver region candidates preferred; remote candidates must be willing to travel [25%]

Salary: $140,000-160,000
