The Student Affairs Analyst leads the review and communication of student affairs matters at Strategic Education, managing the resolution of escalated student issues and serving as a liaison between the Student Affairs Team and other departments. This role ensures timely and appropriate student service while maintaining compliance with policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities: Manages the student affairs review process, detects and tracks violations using technology resources, responds to escalated student issues, and serves as the primary contact for resolving issues from Legal, Regulatory, and Better Business Bureau agencies. Collaborates on staff training, updates policies and processes, and manages reporting to key stakeholders.
Skills & Tools: Excellent oral and written communication skills, proficient to advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and database software, strong data analysis capabilities, and ability to exercise sound judgment in complex decision-making. Must demonstrate strong problem-solving, conflict resolution abilities, and capacity to work collaboratively in a diverse environment.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required with data analysis experience and experience in Student Affairs services processing or similar roles. At least two years of experience working with adult students, experience with sensitive written communication, and demonstrated expertise in complex problem-solving and conflict resolution preferred.

Compensation: $62K–$92K/yr

Job Description

The Student Affairs Manager leads the review and communication for Sophia Student Affairs related matters. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manages the Student Affairs review process reviews and communications according to policies and procedures. Utilizes technology resources deployed by Sophia in the detection and tracking of violations. Responsible for responding to escalated student issues to ensure timely and appropriate student service. Serves as a liaison between the Student Affairs Team and various departments in an effort to resolve student issues and complaints. Collaborates with the Senior Director of Operations on training and orienting staff to the policies, procedures, programs and services. Takes leadership role in designated areas of Student Affairs responsibilities such as updating policies, processes, communication templates, etc. Serves as primary contact for resolution of escalated issues from Legal, Regulatory, and Better Business Bureau agencies. Manages Student Affairs reporting to key stakeholders. Job Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to examine details and exercise sound judgment in making high level decisions Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of constituents in a diverse community Proficient to advanced knowledge of common reporting, presentation, and word processing software (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.) Proficient to advanced knowledge of database software Well organized and task driven Work Experience: Data analysis experience required. Experience in Student Affairs services processing or similar required. Experience working with sensitive written communication required. At least two years experience working with adult students and specific experience with complex problem solving and conflict resolution preferred. Education: Bachelor’s Degree Required Other: Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Typical office setting. Mobility within the office including movement from floor to floor. Travel via plane, car, and metro may be required to perform this job. Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week when business needs warrant. Access information using a computer. Effectively communicate, both up and down the management chain. Effectively cope with stressful situations. Strong mental acuity. Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job. Other essential functions and marginal job functions are subject to modification. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. $61,500.00-$70,000.00 is the expected starting pay for this position.
