Wear the Cat Ninja mascot costume at a major EdTech conference to represent Epic's digital reading platform and engage with teachers and educators through photo opportunities and interactive activities.

Key Responsibilities: Wear the Cat Ninja costume and oversized head piece while taking photos with conference attendees, interacting in a fun and friendly non-verbal manner, and possibly performing light dancing or posing alongside other mascot characters to represent Epic's brand with enthusiasm.
Skills & Tools: High-energy, outgoing personality with genuine comfort being around people and ability to stay in character for extended periods; strong reliability and punctuality for multi-day commitment.
Qualifications: No prior mascot experience required; must be comfortable wearing a full costume and be local to Orlando or able to provide own transportation to Orange County Convention Center.
Location: In-Person - Orlando, FL
Compensation: $200/day ($400 total for two days)

Job Description

Epic is a digital reading platform used by over 50 million kids — and we're bringing our beloved character Cat Ninja to life at one of the biggest EdTech conferences in the world. We need someone to wear the Cat Ninja costume, take photos with conference attendees, and bring good energy to our booth for two days.

The convention center is fully air-conditioned, so it's a comfortable environment even in costume.

What you'll be doing:

  • Wearing the Cat Ninja costume (full character with oversized head piece)
  • Taking photos with teachers, educators, and conference attendees
  • Interacting in a fun, friendly, non-verbal way with the crowd
  • Possibly doing some light dancing or posing alongside other mascot characters
  • Representing Epic's brand with enthusiasm and positivity

What we're looking for:

  • Outgoing, high-energy personality — you genuinely enjoy being around people
  • Comfortable in costume and able to stay in character for stretches of time
  • Reliable — this is a two-day commitment and punctuality matters
  • No prior mascot experience required, just a great attitude
  • Must be local to Orlando or able to get yourself to the Orange County Convention Center

Details:

  • Dates: Monday June 29 and Tuesday June 30, 2026
  • Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM both days
  • Location: Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, FL
  • Pay: $200 per day ($400 total), paid upon completion
