Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Instructor/Trainer in the Education industry, located in Springfield, Massachusetts. This role primarily focuses on instructional design for a higher education setting, with a keen emphasis on Learning Management Systems like Canvas. The successful candidate will bring a blend of technical skills, including proficiency in various computer programs and Microsoft Excel, along with strong communication and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

Design and implement instructional materials for higher education courses
Utilize Learning Management Systems, particularly Canvas, to deliver course content
Manage and maintain course content on Learning Management Systems
Collaborate with faculty and other staff to improve instructional materials
Utilize Microsoft Excel and other computer programs to track and report on course engagement and success
Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff to resolve any issues or inquiries related to course content
Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders involved in the course design and implementation process
Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in instructional design and education technology
Continuously strive to improve the learning experience for students through innovative instructional design strategies.

Requirements

Minimum three years of teaching or training experience in the education sector.
Proficiency in computer programs and Microsoft Excel.
Familiarity with management systems and learning management systems.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Expertise in using Canvas for teaching or training purposes.
Knowledge of instructional design principles and methodologies.
Ability to manage and organize multiple tasks concurrently.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team.
Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
Experience in developing and implementing training programs.
Proven track record of enhancing student learning experience through innovative teaching methods.
Bachelor's degree in a related field; a Master's degree would be an advantage.
Ability to adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with students and colleagues.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion in the classroom.
Ability to provide constructive feedback to students to enhance their learning experience.
