About
In the classroom, I convey enthusiasm and passion for my subject areas, and work to turn learning science and mathematics into positive and equitable experiences for students. Using state-adopted standards to prepare students for testing seasons, such as NWEA assessments, helps to drive my lesson planning so that my students are prepared, and objectives are met. Previous experience in academic research and the medical field have provided me with unique experiences and background knowledge in various fields to pass along to students. The past few years have also given me the opportunity to participate in an Artificial Intelligence Committee, coaching teachers to integrate EdTech (VR and AI-powered tools) into their classroom practices, curriculum mapping for multiple secondary grade levels, and curriculum adoption committees. My goals are to finish my doctorate in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, and exploring educational practices and materials that can be adapted to fit the needs of diverse learners.
