About
My name is Benjamin Grazevich, and I am in search of a new career. I'm looking for a nice step above what I'm currently doing. Here is a brief breakdown of my previous professional work experience.
My professional experience began in July of 2018 when I started out as a help desk analyst for Lyons School District 103. It was my first real job out of college and it was an incredible experience. I truly enjoyed going into work every day to help solve any technical problems that the staff might run into. I managed two elementary schools with a staff of around twenty for each school, so prioritization and patience was key to tackling the large amount of technical requests. The requests were managed through a ticketing system and some of them include: troubleshooting hardware/software for desktops and laptops (Microsoft and Apple), installing physical projectors, updating my respective school websites, training new team members, and managing the district’s Skyward database. I was the jack of all trades for Lyons 103, but I ended up moving onto a position at Change Healthcare during September of 2019.
Soon after Lyons, I moved onto a more detail oriented position at Change Healthcare. I started off as a ‘Database Operations Specialist’ which consisted of processing healthcare claims using Microsoft SQL. The SQL storage was hosted through AWS (Amazon Web Services) Cloud, and it was imperative to be as accurate as possible when working with healthcare claims data. I was also a part of the team that would transfer claims files between insurance providers and Change Healthcare. That was mainly composed of setting up folders for files to be received via SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol), and whitelisting the source of transfer files through our firewalls. It was a great position to really get an understanding of large databases, and to use more of my technical knowledge. It was a huge contrast from the school district, but a good one at that. I ended up leaving my position at Change Healthcare at the end of February 2021 due to an inopportune position change.
Currently I am a Technology Specialist at Worth School District 127. I started back at the beginning of March 2022. I am a part of a two person team: the director of technology and me. While the director handles most of the communication between the administration team, I work hand in hand with everyone in the district. I wear many hats in the district, and am versatile in picking up projects to help other departments to help maintain workflow throughout the district. Some of the hats that I wear include: hardware troubleshooting, software troubleshooting, network support, time and attendance management, training/onboarding new employees, and data entry/refinement. I have averaged 2,500 tickets over the past 3.5 years that I've been with WSD127.
