Skills
I’m a Data Engineer and Biology Teacher who bridges the gap between data systems and learning outcomes. In the classroom, I teach Biology and Forensic Science at Freedom High School in Tampa, designing hands-on labs and outdoor experiments that make science engaging and data-driven.
Outside the classroom, I build production-grade data pipelines and lakehouses across Azure, GCP, and AWS—integrating the same analytical mindset I teach my students into large-scale data ecosystems. I design Medallion Architectures (Bronze/Silver/Gold) using dbt and Databricks/Spark, orchestrate pipelines with Dagster/Airflow, and enforce data quality with Great Expectations and dbt tests.
Recent engineering highlights include:
• Tampa Rent Signals – Snowflake + dbt + Dagster + FastAPI; 15 assets, SCD2 snapshots, 100 GE checks.
• LeaseRadar – Next.js 14 + FastAPI + Snowflake; real-time rental price analytics with WCAG-compliant UI.
• Real-Time Offers – Kafka + Spark Streaming on AWS; 10K+ events/min, 99.9% uptime.
• Earthquakes Lakehouse – ADF → ADLS → Databricks + Azure Monitor alerts.
I’m passionate about STEM education, scalable data solutions, and AI-driven insights that empower both learners and institutions. I bring the habits of an educator—clarity, documentation, and iterative improvement—into every data engineering workflow.
