About
I am a versatile learning experience designer and digital innovation leader with over 15 years of experience creating impactful education and training solutions across higher education and emerging technologies. My expertise spans immersive learning (VR/AR/XR), game-based design, instructional technology, and multimedia platforms, supported by a strong foundation in instructional design models (ADDIE, Dick & Carey) and data-driven assessment using xAPI.
As founding director of the Grinnell College Immersive Experiences Lab, I led federally funded projects—including the NEH-supported Virtual Viking Longship Project—while managing interdisciplinary teams, mentoring students, and building faculty partnerships that advanced digital storytelling, cultural heritage projects, and innovative course design. My professional background also includes roles as Digital Liberal Arts Specialist and Associate Professor of German, where I combined teaching, research, and technology to create award-winning hybrid learning environments.
I am passionate about bridging technical and pedagogical goals, exploring the responsible use of AI, and ensuring accessibility and inclusion in every learning experience. To strengthen my leadership in managing cross-functional teams, budgets, and complex educational initiatives, I am currently completing the Google Project Management Certificate, which complements my track record of project leadership and innovation in edtech.
