About
I’m Emma, an education-focused professional with a background spanning high-growth tech communications and hands-on school administration.
I bring a unique blend of startup communications experience and academic administration, with a career grounded in clarity, adaptability, and people-centered work. I began my career at LaunchSquad, a high-growth public relations agency supporting venture-backed technology startups, where I managed multiple client accounts, collaborated cross-functionally, and thrived in fast-paced environments that required strong writing, ownership, and creative problem-solving.
Over the past two and a half years, I transitioned into education-focused administrative roles, gaining firsthand insight into the operational realities educators and administrators face in both K–12 and higher education settings. As an Administrative Assistant at an elementary school, I coordinate daily substitute scheduling, manage constant last-minute changes, and serve as a central point of contact for teachers and staff—triaging requests, resolving issues in real time, and ensuring classrooms stay supported.
Previously, as a Graduate Coordinator at a large public university, I managed high volumes of student inquiries, edited and organized admissions and program materials, and supported recruitment and retention efforts. I also worked closely with faculty and graduate students to help deliver educational resources to incarcerated individuals across Illinois, reinforcing my commitment to equitable, accessible education.
Across roles, I’ve developed strong written communication skills, operational fluency, and a deep appreciation for tools and systems that give educators time back to focus on what matters most: teaching, learning, and meaningful connection. I’m excited to bring this perspective to an edtech organization building thoughtful, mission-driven solutions for schools and students.
