About
Educator | Curriculum Writer
With a background in Interdisciplinary Studies and over five years of experience teaching middle school science, I’m dedicated to building engaging, inclusive classrooms where all students can succeed. I focus on hands-on, inquiry-based lessons and technology integration to keep learning dynamic and meaningful, resulting in consistently high STAAR Science scores that exceed district and state averages.
Beyond the classroom, I contribute to curriculum development as a district curriculum writer and have served on the Curriculum Adoption Committee, helping select materials that align with state standards. I have also lead professional development workshops on topics like fostering positive school culture, using assessments to guide instruction, creating engaging activities, and incorporating digital tools to enrich learning.
Skills and Highlights:
Curriculum Development: Experienced in designing district-wide instructional materials and evaluating resources for curriculum adoption.
Professional Development: Led workshops on school culture, assessment strategies, classroom engagement, and digital tools.
EdTech Skills: Proficient in platforms such as Schoology, Google Workspace, and Canva to create resources that increase student engagement.
Leadership: Served in roles such as mentor to new teacher, 8th Grade Hallway Lead, UIL Writing Coach, Cheer Coach, Drill Team Founder & Director, and coordinator of “Staff Shout Outs” to build a supportive school environment.
I also run a Teachers Pay Teachers store, sharing original, highly-rated educational resources that support teachers nationwide. My goal is to inspire both students and educators by bringing creativity, engagement, quality, and a love for learning to everything I do!
