About
After 25 years with Dell Technologies, I was impacted by work force reduction in February of 2023. Since that time I had been caretaker for a family member with advanced dementia. I am now excited to be re-entering the workforce.
My passion is in Learning and Development which is where I spent the last 9 years while employed at Dell Technologies(see resume for details). A highlight of my career at Dell was Ownership of an internal Supply Chain Academy which had 3,000 global team members, as well as being able to meet and interact with my global internal customers. I often describe my role as program manager of the Supply Chain Academy, to those not familiar with the corporate environment, as me being a "principle" for a school that was internal to Dell and focused on the professional development of Supply Chain specific team members.
As PM of the Supply Chain Academy, I ran all aspects of the Academy. This ranged from Budget input/oversight to creating learning plans and/or curating content for various specific Supply Chain roles. Additional to my day to day role, I also was responsible for all logistics for a 2 day Executive Summit which was held in 7 global locations annually. The tasks ranged anywhere from working with leaders to determing the annual topics and issuing RFP's to partners we worked with to develop and deliver the content. It also included hotel/venue and attendee registration as well as "day of" logistics and oversight. I was privileged to be able to travel to most of the Summits and ensure logistical support as well as met a large number of my Academy stakeholders/leaders.
My day to day role of program manager of the Supply Chain Academy included some of the following:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and leaders across the Global Operations organization and ensuring my internal "customers success"
- Presenting to Executives regarding status as well as future learning strategy
- Following up with learners/team members/stakeholders on feedback related to our
Learning Portal and/or the Corporate Learning Management System.
- Actively participating in User Acceptance testing of our L&D Portal, as well as Corporate LMS. My experience in software testing ensured I was always looking at the tools we used from the customers perspective.
- Partner/Vendor Management: Accenture, Deloitte, LinkedIn Learning, Udemy, SABA, etc..
My technical expertise is not from a degree but rather from being self taught while in various roles within Dell (software Pjm, software test lead, operations manager for software development teams, etc...)
