About
I was part of the first wave of students handed digital tools in school. Some expanded how we learned. Others made things harder. That experience taught me to look closely at how tools really impact thinking – and that perspective still shapes how I teach.
As a math educator, I focus on helping students see the why behind the math. I break concepts open from all angles – visually, spatially, contextually – so students can build understanding that sticks. I pay close attention to how learners engage with tools: where they pause, where they light up, and what actually supports their thinking.
I look for platforms that prioritize sense-making over shortcuts. Tools that help students trust their process, represent their thinking clearly, and stay curious – even when the math gets tough.
