About
With over 13 years of classroom teaching experience, I bring a deep understanding of how to create meaningful, student-centered learning experiences that are grounded in academic standards and real-world application. As a self-starter, I’ve consistently taken initiative to lead curriculum development projects and integrate innovative strategies without requiring supervision. My instructional design approach is rooted in backwards planning and Universal Design for Learning (UDL), ensuring all students have equitable access to content. I have extensive experience differentiating instruction for a wide range of learners, including English language learners, students with disabilities, and gifted students, using adaptive tools and tiered supports. I design engaging digital lessons using platforms such as Google Classroom, Nearpod, and Articulate, blending technology with pedagogy for maximum impact.
I also specialize in assessment design, developing rubrics, performance tasks, and data-driven evaluations that inform both instruction and student growth. In leadership roles, I’ve facilitated professional development sessions, mentored new educators, and contributed to district-wide instructional committees. I collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to align academic goals and instructional strategies. Whether building lessons from scratch or refining existing curriculum, I approach every project with strategic planning and creative problem-solving. My work is also deeply informed by a commitment to culturally responsive and equity-focused design, ensuring every student sees themselves reflected in the curriculum. I believe instructional design is not just about what students learn, but how and why they learn it. By combining my classroom expertise with my curriculum development skills, I’m able to create impactful, inclusive, and measurable learning experiences.
