About
Hello! My name is Troy McKinney and I am looking for a change of pace in the educational profession. I have such a drive to inspire dynamic, collaborative, and creative solutions in the field of education. I am currently in my fourth year teaching teaching Technical Theatre at the secondary level, during that time I have built/established a new theatre program, sat on the district professional development team for Technical Theatre, adapted fine arts curriculum to project based learning, new teacher mentor and my biggest accomplishment establishing strong relationships with not only students but anyone that comes into our space.
Running a new theatre program comes with many challenges but my growth in organization, operational standards, and professional communication have been instrumental in our programs early success.
I approach life with a solution oriented approach and an open mindset. My philosophy is that everyone is a student, even teachers/admin, we are all operating on the same level of growth and hunger to learn.
