About Us
Quill’s mission is to help more than 10 million low-income students per year become strong writers, readers, and critical thinkers. Teachers are busier than ever and have little to no time to provide individual writing feedback to their students. Plus, while curriculum experts recommend students write for at least 30 minutes per day, 74% of eighth-grade students and 91% of twelfth-grade students do not spend more than 30 minutes per day writing.
By building free online tools that use AI to automatically evaluate student writing, Quill provides 4th- through 12th-grade students with immediate feedback and coaching. This enables students to revise their work immediately and quickly build their literacy skills while saving their teachers precious time.
