EdTechJobs.io is operated by Galixi, Inc.(“Galixi,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a company incorporated in the United States. We built EdTechJobs.io to help education technology professionals find meaningful work and help EdTech employers reach qualified candidates worldwide.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use EdTechJobs.io, how we use it, and the choices you have. Please read it carefully. By using our platform, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

• Account registration: When you sign up or sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.
• Preferences and settings: Job alert preferences (categories, keywords, work arrangements, frequency), saved jobs, saved companies, and notification settings.
• Employer information: If you post a job, we collect your name, company name, email, job listing content, and payment information (processed by Stripe — we never store raw card data).
• Communications: Any messages you send us via email or contact forms.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data: Pages visited, job listings viewed, search queries, links clicked, and features used.
• Device and browser: IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URLs.
• Cookies and similar technologies: See Section 5 below.

Information from third parties

• Job listing data: We aggregate publicly available job listings from company career pages and third-party job aggregators (such as Adzuna). We do not collect personal data from these sources.
• Company data: Basic company information (logos, descriptions, website URLs) sourced from public directories such as Clearbit.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account and authenticate you securely.
• Deliver personalised job alerts and recommendations based on your preferences.
• Display your saved jobs, saved companies, and account settings.
• Process employer job postings and associated payments.
• Improve and develop our platform, features, and job matching quality.
• Send transactional emails (job alerts, account notices, employer confirmations).
• Send marketing emails if you have opted in — you can opt out at any time.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
• Detect fraud, abuse, and security threats.

We rely on the following legal bases under GDPR: contract performance (to provide the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (product improvement, security, fraud prevention), consent (marketing emails, certain cookies), and legal obligation where required by law.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only as follows:

• Service providers: We use trusted third-party vendors who process data on our behalf, including Supabase (database and authentication infrastructure), Stripe (payments), Google (authentication and analytics), and HubSpot (marketing email). Each is bound by data processing agreements.
• Employers: If you apply to a job directly through a third-party ATS link, that employer's own privacy policy governs. We do not share your EdTechJobs.io profile with employers without your explicit action.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Galixi, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will provide notice before your data is subject to a different privacy policy.

4. AI-Generated Content

EdTechJobs.io uses AI models (including Anthropic Claude) to enrich job listings with summaries, salary estimates, and categorisation, and to power career tools available to job seekers. AI-generated content is derived from publicly available job posting text and general labour market data — it does not process or expose your personal information. Salary estimates are approximate and not guaranteed.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

• Essential cookies: Required for authentication and core platform functionality. These cannot be disabled.
• Analytics cookies: Google Analytics 4 helps us understand how the platform is used in aggregate. IP addresses are anonymised.
• Marketing cookies: HubSpot is used for email marketing. These are set only if you subscribe to our mailing list.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling non-essential cookies will not affect your ability to browse jobs or use core features.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes (such as billing records, which we retain for up to 7 years as required by applicable law). Aggregated, anonymised usage data may be retained indefinitely.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

For users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland (GDPR / UK GDPR)

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification: Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”).
• Restriction: Request that we limit processing of your data.
• Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing.

8. International Data Transfers

Galixi, Inc. is based in the United States. If you access EdTechJobs.io from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the US, which may have different data protection laws than your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

9. Children's Privacy

EdTechJobs.io is not directed at children under 16 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or via an in-app notice.
