Summary

Learning Management Systems Administrator responsible for managing NIC's LMS, ensuring content maintenance, user experience optimization, troubleshooting, and data reporting while collaborating with instructional specialists and leadership. The role supports federal, state, local, and tribal corrections agencies through strategic direction and technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities: Maintain and update LMS content, design learning programs, troubleshoot system performance issues, train users, generate data reports, and collaborate with instructional specialists and leadership to align the LMS with organizational strategic plans. Work with vendors and technical specialists to resolve communication issues between the LMS and e-courses.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency in LMS administration, system troubleshooting, project management, instructional design, and user training; strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to diverse audiences and implement corrective actions for system performance. Ability to obtain and maintain US government security clearance.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Science, Instructional Design, Information Technology, Educational Technology, or related field; minimum five years of LMS administration experience including design, maintenance, updates, and user training. Experience with LMS system upgrades, policy development, and effective learning solutions preferred.

Job Description

ZAI is hiring a Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator for our customer, the National Institute of Corrections (NIC), in Aurora, Colorado. The LMS Administrator manages NIC's LMS, handling content maintenance, user experience, troubleshooting, data reporting, and vendor and team interactions.

This collaborative role works with the NIC Instructional Systems Specialist (ISS) to resolve communication issues between the LMS and NIC e-courses and consults with NIC leadership, Correctional Program Specialists (CPS), and the ISS to address changing learner needs.

The position ensures consistency, user-friendliness for course developers and learners, and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities include:
• Designing and implementing effective and innovative learning programs
• Apply analysis, design, development, evaluation, and technology to support NIC staff and federal, state, local, and tribal corrections agencies
• Offer strategic direction, mentoring, and development to staff in program and learning roles across the organization
• Work with customers, manufacturers, vendors, technical specialists, and NIC staff to align the LMS with NIC’s strategic plan
Qualifications include:
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Instructional Design, Information Technology, Educational Technology, and/or a related field
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in learning management systems administration
• Experience designing, maintaining, and updating an LMS for improved navigation, organization of content, and improved graphical interface
• Experience training users in LMS, including creating instructional materials and guides in support of training
• Knowledge of troubleshooting system performance issues and implementing corrective actions
• Experience in project management, leadership, presenting to a wide variety of audiences, and strong written and verbal communication
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience performing LMS system upgrades and enhancements
• Experience developing policy and procedures related to the LMS and effective learning solutions

Salary: to $39.39 + $4.57 H&W
