Role Snapshot

Join McGraw Hill as a Software Engineer II to build innovative K-12 Assessment platforms used by millions of students and educators worldwide. This remote role focuses on designing scalable APIs and backend processes while collaborating with product and engineering teams.

Skills & Tools: Proficiency in Node.js, Go, or Java with experience in RESTful web services, frontend development, relational database design, and application testing. Strong knowledge of cloud technologies (preferably AWS), code quality practices, CI/CD tools (Github Actions), and ability to write SQL queries for data analysis.
Qualifications: 2+ years of software development experience with demonstrated delivery in distributed product and engineering environments. Strong understanding of full software development lifecycle including performance engineering and ability to work in fast-paced environments delivering production-grade software.
Location: United States
Compensation: $94K–$128K/yr
