Description
We’re looking for a Product Marketing Manager to join Coursedog and help us communicate how our Academic Operations Platform empowers higher ed to execute exceptional educational experiences for administrators and students. This role requires translating strategic insight into vision and action, cross-functional collaboration mixed with hands-on execution, skillful storytelling, and a passion for Coursedog's mission to break down barriers to student success.
The Product Marketing Manager will specifically focus on effectively communicating to our prospects and existing customers how each of the platform modules brings value to their campuses and students. By partnering with colleagues in Marketing, Product, Sales, and Customer Success, the Product Marketing Manager will be focused on continually improving the our offerings and customer experience. You'll spend time conducting meaningful inbound research and driving alignment across go-to-market, product, and customer success teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather intelligence and set our product marketing strategy for key buyer personas, institution types, and use cases
- Conduct ongoing market research to inform our segmentation, positioning, messaging, and lifecycle strategies
- Monitor performance metrics including revenue, pricing, deal size, sales cycle, markets and sales opportunity targets
- Continuously improve our positioning by collaborating with Product, Sales, and Customer Success
- Iterate on Coursedog's messaging to create prospect and customer-facing assets, including pitch decks, videos, blog posts, adoption materials, emails, website content, and more
- Develop and build strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders in an effort to collaborate and drive results for the marketing and sales organizations
- Be a platform evangelist and spokesperson communicating both internally and to external audiences at events, conferences, and more
- Own the delivery of Customer Advisory Board meetings, ensuring we build a network of champions that help us continue to improve platform and user experience
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- 2-5 years B2B SaaS product marketing experience
- An empathetic communicator; a talented out of the box thinker with a passion for the Coursedog mission and product
- Eagerness to learn the ins and outs of how a product works and what our users need from a technical solution
- A natural collaborator and organizer ー you're excited and experienced in working cross-functionally
- Proven experience crafting compelling messaging
- Previous experience working directly with sales teams and executing enablement activities
- Audience research, segmentation, and persona development experience
- You’re self-motivated and ownership is core to your professional identity
- Experience engaging industry analysts
