The Impact Marketing team is offering an internship working with the Adult Fiction and Adult Nonfiction imprints, home to Bloom Books, Poisoned Pen Press, Casablanca, Landmark, Cosmo Reads, and Sourcebooks Trade. The Impact Marketing team works directly with our authors to build awareness for their books amongst readers. We plan tours and events, create influencer campaigns, secure media coverage and book reviews, run advertising campaigns, and much more. In this role you will learn how we introduce debut authors to new audiences, build bestsellers, and everything in between.
Summer Impact Marketing (Adult Imprints) Internship Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify target audiences and contribute creative ideas for promotional efforts.
- Support the creation of marketing materials such as press releases, book descriptions, social media posts, and digital ads to engage readers.
- Assist in developing and executing marketing campaigns for upcoming book releases, including social media strategies and influencer outreach.
- Help coordinate media outreach by building and updating press lists, tracking coverage, and fostering relationships with reviewers and influencers.
- Support the planning and execution of book tours, virtual events, and author signings.
Internship Program Details:
Sourcebooks offers a 10- week PAID, IN-PERSON internship at our Naperville, IL office in our Impact Marketing Department. Interns will have the opportunity to get hands-on experience at a growing book publisher. You will learn how to use different communications styles and strategies to share information with different audiences both within and outside the company. A key component of this internship is storytelling: we’re communicating the Sourcebooks story, and our Books Change Lives mission, every day. You’ll learn how to refine a message, speak to values, engage an audience, and more! We're looking for book lovers who are excited to experiment, learn new things, and make a difference in the world of books.
Requirements & Eligibility:
• Current college junior, senior or recent graduate
• Able to work 24 hours/week throughout the program in person 3 days/week in Naperville, IL
• Available and commit to the program working June 10, 2025, to August 14, 2025
• Must reside in the U.S. for the duration of the internship program
• Must be over the age of 18
