The Role
ITHAKA is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and passionate Delivery Lead to support the development of JSTOR products and solutions that further our mission to improve access to knowledge and education for people around the world.
As a Delivery Lead, you are accountable for helping teams deliver value. You will use your knowledge of Lean principles and agile values and practices to support our quest for increased innovation, quality, and speed to market.
The preferred candidate is a problem solver and team player who leads by example. You will reliably and sustainably drive execution to deliver on shared goals and lend a hand with tasks that support your teams. To succeed in this role, you will help the team proactively identify and address conflicting priorities and risks, ensuring that issues are escalated promptly when necessary.You should be comfortable leading through influence and helping teams navigate conflict while modelling the operational excellence mindset by approaching work initiatives with curiosity and by challenging the status quo. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including, development teams, business leaders, subject matter experts, and product managers. You will report directly to the Manager, Agile Delivery.
Responsibilities
- Align teams around organizational strategy and lead efforts to deliver on shared goals.
- Drive team success by managing delivery targets, dependencies, and risks, fostering cross-team collaboration.
- Promote transparent communication within and across teams that builds trust, accountability, and predictability.
- Accelerate the delivery of business value by facilitating productive collaboration and clear communication among and between teams, Product Managers, Tech Leads, and Designers, and other stakeholders (Marketing, Partner and User Services, Outreach, etc.).
- Help teams realize their product vision and build deep knowledge of their product by facilitating high-value working sessions that emphasize effective collaboration, continuous learning, and shared understanding.
- Partner to define and use metrics, including OKRs and KPIs, to optimize product delivery and team performance.
- Execute timely and effective communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed during incidents, ensuring transparency, trust, and minimal disruption.
- Facilitate cultural transformation and foster a holistic approach to team support and value delivery across the organization, modeling excellence in giving, receiving, and implementing feedback.

Experience and Skills
- 3+ years of software delivery experience in product organizations, including experience working with multiple teams.
- Demonstrated understanding of the agile principles, methods, and roles.
- Flexible, dogma-free approach to agile practices and processes, focused on success, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Proven experience working with agile frameworks such as Lean, Scrum, and Kanban, and a solid understanding of software development lifecycles.
- Exceptional facilitation and mentoring skills.
- Proficiency in building collaborative partnerships across all organizational levels, coupled with a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate when engaging with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to apply agile methods in effective ways to empower and support high-performing teams, deliver successful products to the market, and navigate conflict effectively.
- Ability to work effectively and to partner and collaborate productively with colleagues at all levels of the organization, both inside and outside the technical domain.
- Highly adept at using metrics and data to drive continuous improvement
- Proficiency with technology tools such as Jira, TFS, Mural, Slack, DORA or similar tools.

The starting salary for this position ranges from $86,000 to $107,000 per year. Starting pay may vary with job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Our total compensation package for benefits-eligible employees includes employer-paid medical, dental, and vision plans, an employer-paid 10% retirement contribution, paid parental and caregiver leave, 22 days of paid time off, 11 paid holidays, 12 sick days, gym reimbursement, and more.
