Position Purpose
Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA) is looking to hire two (2) Managers, Grant Implementation. The Managers, Grant Implementation are key members of the Grant Implementation group within the Program and Impact department of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA). The primary role of the Grants Implementation group is driving results through focused execution. In this role, the group helps the organization and network show impact through implementation of a variety of grant-funded initiatives.
The Manager, Grant Implementation role focuses on coordinating and managing grant-funded initiatives to ensure programmatic success and alignment with grant goals. The Manager is responsible for day-to-day facilitation, including organizing and developing work plans, monitoring activities, and ensuring smooth implementation of grant-funded programs. They work closely with internal teams and Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) agencies to review program plans, address barriers, and support operational success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Program Implementation and Project Management:
- Manages the implementation of multiple grants utilizing project management processes and tools to ensure that the work is completed on-time, on-budget, and to the satisfaction of funder expectations.
- Designs the overall project plan including detailed timelines, reporting deadlines, deliverables, and evaluations in collaboration with others in the Program & Impact team, the Resource Development team and other key stakeholders to ensure that grant expectations with both funder requirements and BBBSA priorities.
- Monitors grant-funded program activities to ensure alignment with goals, timelines, and feasibility.
- Creates and review action plans and project documents submitted by agencies for clarity, alignment, and feasibility.
- Proactively addresses challenges in implementation by working collaboratively to find solutions.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Acts as a liaison between BBBSA and BBBS agencies, ensuring clear communication and mutual understanding of program objectives.
- Schedules and facilitates meetings with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates and follow-up on action items.
- Facilitates peer learning and knowledge sharing across the network to promote best practices.
- Serves as a resource to others within BBBSA and across the network to build knowledge of grant status, deliverables, and lessons learned.
Reporting and Knowledge Management:
- Synthesizes data and feedback from program activities to identify trends and lessons learned.
- Leads the preparation of reports highlighting grant progress, successes, and recommendations for future improvements.
- Serves as a resource for sharing insights across the network and driving increased investments.
- Supports the effectiveness of the program and impact department and BBBSA through other duties as assigned.

Education, Skills & Related Work Experience
Education Level: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit management, youth development, or related fields.
Years and Scope of Related Work Experience: At least 3 years of experience in project or program coordination, preferably in grant-funded initiatives.
Skills and Knowledge: Experience managing grant funded projects toward the completion of deliverables; Advanced organizational and problem-solving skills; Proficiency in project management tools and collaboration platforms; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills to build and sustain relationships with a wide range of clients and stakeholders; Exceptional administrative abilities including excellent attention to detail; assuring all details of assigned tasks are accomplished; following procedures; keeping accurate/ up-to-date records and organization; Must be results-oriented, displaying accountability and achievement orientation in meeting goals; Advanced analytical skills including the ability to comprehend and make inferences from technical, statistical, and written materials; excellent problem-solving; Advanced technical skills; maintaining state-of-the-art knowledge of advances in the field; Knowledge of youth development programs and their implementation at the local level, desired, but not required.
