Role Snapshot
Temporary Financial Analyst position at the Exploratorium providing financial guidance and analysis to support museum operations and senior management decisions. A detail-oriented role focused on budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for a non-profit cultural institution.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze financial data for budgets and quarterly forecasts, create financial models for strategic projects, and produce presentation-ready reports. Monitor departmental performance against budget, manage Workday Adaptive Planning system, and support senior management with financial insights across multiple departments.
Skills & Tools: Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency, strong budgeting and financial analysis expertise, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Must be detail-oriented while maintaining big-picture perspective, with demonstrated ability to translate complex financial concepts for non-finance stakeholders.
Qualifications: BA/BS in finance, accounting, business, or related field with 3-5 years of budgeting and financial analysis experience. Proficiency with financial and budgeting software required; non-profit experience and Workday Adaptive Planning familiarity preferred.
Location: San Francisco, California
Compensation: $90K–$93K/yr
