The Manufacturing Buyer-Print Production will be responsible for collaborating with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure that students consistently receive high-quality products synonymous with the Kaplan name. The person in this role will also be responsible for developing strategies to optimize the print supply chain. Excellent attention to detail, great communication skills, and a collaborative attitude are all key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate initial inventory buy for new physical products. Gather product requirements and source best print vendor options for meeting the needs of the product launch by balancing quality, cost, & delivery.
- Manage existing physical inventory levels of products at 3PL warehouse and place replenishment orders to ensure that we do not run out while keeping the cost per unit low and minimizing the risks of future inventory obsolescence.
- Management of inventory and out of stock information within our OPS system and communicate to impacted business partners
- Analyze cost and usage patterns and make recommendations for product changes
- Validation of inventory receipts at 3PL warehouse and vendor invoice processing.
- Drive continuous improvements in all facets of procurement and fulfillment process.
- Optimize delivery performance in terms of accuracy, timeliness, cost containment, and quality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in finance, procurement, inventory management or related field or 8 years equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in print production preferred.
- Familiarity or ability to learn Firebrand’s POMS purchase order module, BDS, Oracle financials, 3PL’s LogPro system
- Strong organization skills
