Summary

Join Via TRM as a Junior UX/UI Designer to create clean, intuitive interfaces for EdTech web products in a fully remote, collaborative environment. You'll contribute to user-centered design processes that serve higher ed professionals, students, and scholars.

Key Responsibilities: Support design of web-based products through wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity mockups while collaborating with Product, Engineering, and QA teams. Maintain design systems, participate in user feedback sessions, and apply accessibility best practices across responsive web designs.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency in Figma, strong understanding of responsive design, typography, color theory, and interaction design with 1-2 years of UX/UI experience. Strong attention to detail, collaborative mindset, and comfort receiving feedback with knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and HTML/CSS as a plus.
Qualifications: 1-2 years of professional UX/UI design experience (internships and freelance work count) with a portfolio demonstrating user-centered design solutions. Familiarity with responsive design principles and modern web/UI trends; experience with SaaS, EdTech, or Agile teams preferred.

Position Overview:

As a Junior UX/UI Designer at Via TRM, you’ll support the product and engineering teams by contributing to the creation of clean, user-friendly interfaces and user-centered design processes. Your role will include assisting in the wireframing, prototyping, and design of new features and enhancements across Via’s product lines. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design of web-based products used by higher ed professionals, students, and scholars.

Requirements:

  • 1–2 years of professional experience in UX/UI design (internships and freelance work count).
  • A portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions and visual design sensibility.
  • Proficiency in Figma (or similar tools like Sketch, Adobe XD).
  • Familiarity with responsive design principles and modern web/UI trends.
  • Understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and interaction design.
  • Comfortable receiving and incorporating feedback to improve designs.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • A curious, positive, collaborative mindset and willingness to learn.

Desired Skill Sets:

  • Experience designing for SaaS or EdTech platforms.

  • Exposure to HTML/CSS or front-end development workflows is a plus.
  • Interest or background in international education or higher education systems.
