Senior Manager, Events

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
The Per Scholas team is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Manager of Events to join our team. The Senior Manager of Events will be responsible for planning and executing various events, including and not limited to: ceremonial events, employer partner panels, development events, milestone celebrations, and virtual webinars. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event planning, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with ease among different stakeholders. The individual genuinely values the importance of ensuring that all stakeholders have a consistent experience through various touch points of an event cycle.
This position will report to the Director of Events and work collaboratively across the Marketing and Communication team.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Conference Management: Responsible for coordinating Per Scholas’ participation in conferences selected by RevGen leaders. This includes managing all logistics and deliverables once participation is confirmed, such as securing conference tickets, obtaining “know-before-you-go” documentation from conference hosts, compiling speaker materials, liaising with conference organizers, and overseeing the delivery of Per Scholas branded materials to each conference as needed.
Planning and Coordination: Work closely with the internal and external stakeholders to determine event (virtual and in-person) requirements, including and not limited to: facilitating event kickoff meetings, ensuring event projection timelines are adhered to, communicating expedited and/or delays in event deliverables, coordinating with external vendors, updating internal stakeholders, creating run of show documents, and supporting day-of-event execution.
Vendor Management: Research and facilitate the receipt of quotes from vendors, including and not limited to: audiovisual technicians, caterers, florists, and potential venues. Maintain year-over-year professional relationships with vendors.
Event Promotion: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to promote events (pre, day of, post) through a variety of channels, including and not limited to: email, internal comms, and social media.
Risk Management: Identify and escalate event compliance needs, including and not limited to: fire marshall venue capacities, necessary permits and insurances, legal requirements, and safety documentation.
Evaluation and Feedback: Facilitate post-event meetings with internal stakeholders. Gather feedback from internal and external stakeholders to evaluate the success of the event. Ensure process improvements are implemented for future events.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO US
Professional Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent practical experience, required.
- Minimum of 5 years experience managing events from concept to completion to support an organization’s mission.
- At least 3 years of project management experience managing multiple workstreams and prioritizing competing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- At least 2 years of experience with event management for fundraising events.
- Knowledge of Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Lu.ma, Salesforce, and Slack preferred.
- Travel required approximately 25% of the time, and some evenings will be necessary to perform the event role.

COMPENSATION
For this role specifically, we target a salary range of $71,000-$78,000. The salary difference is typically determined by several factors, including the selected candidate's geography and alignment with qualifications and experience.
