With support from Edmentum Research Scientists and Learning Engineers, the psychometrics intern will:
- Modify existing analysis code and write new code to prepare data and perform psychometric analyses
- Interpret analysis findings and provide written descriptions to update Exact Path technical documentation
- Design and implement research studies to inform product design and improve the reliability, validity, and fairness of Edmentum assessments
Edmentum supports each intern’s unique research interests with projects that can be completed with existing or simulated data and have promise to lead to conference presentations and/or publications while simultaneously improving Edmentum products. Although not required, interns with particular research questions of interest (e.g., questions related to K-12 computer-adaptive testing, applications of large language models to assessment data, longitudinal ability modeling) are encouraged to propose research ideas in their cover letter.
