Job Description:
ATD’s Chapter Services team, which is part of ATD’s larger Community & Customer Experience department, provides support to local chapters and their leaders throughout the United States. We implement strategies to promote the effectiveness of ATD chapters and encourage chapter members to get involved with ATD.
As the Chapter Relations Specialist at ATD, you will report to our Chapter Services Manager. In this position you will provide guidance, assistance, and resources to chapters consistent with the mission of ATD. The CRS will also advise chapter leaders on the business functions of a chapter and work with volunteer chapter leaders to ensure continued growth and consistency of the ATD brand.
Specifically, the key initiatives you will support in this role include:
- Providing operational and strategic guidance to chapters to support them in achieving affiliation requirements and attaining national recognition
- Serving as the primary point of contact for chapter leader inquiries and requests
- Developing resources to address content/skills gaps while promoting the use of existing resources
- Auditing chapter-related data and reports to drive the strategic direction of chapter services
- Connecting chapter leaders with leadership development resources and other chapter leaders to facilitate sharing of best practices
- Serving as a staff manager to chapter-related volunteer teams and committees
- Promoting ATD initiatives to chapters and assisting with implementation, including joint membership at the local and ATD levels
- Serving as a liaison between ATD and chapters to ensure strategic alignment
- Designing and facilitating virtual and in-person programming for chapters
About You…
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience
- Minimum two years of related experience
- Experience with volunteer management, engagement, and leadership
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, and ability to mediate difficult situations
- Excellent communications, marketing, public speaking, and project management skills
- Ability to travel up to 10 percent to visit chapters and attend ATD International Conference and Exposition
- Interest in the talent development profession a plus
