Role Snapshot
The Grants Manager will enhance grantmaking processes and foster relationships with grantees at American Student Assistance, a national nonprofit focused on career readiness for students. The role combines grant portfolio stewardship with operational improvements and capacity-building initiatives to support grantee success.
Key Responsibilities: Manage grant relationships across the lifecycle from sourcing to evaluation, implement capacity building and technical assistance programs, track grantmaking trends, and represent ASA at regional conferences. Collaborate with the Director of Corporate Social Responsibility to refine grant strategy and contribute to day-to-day grants management operations including due diligence, reporting, payments, and grantee communications.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency in Salesforce or similar grants management software, strong relationship-building and rapport-establishment abilities, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in program and grants management with knowledge of grantmaking practices and career connected learning.
Qualifications: At least 3-5 years of experience in program and/or grants management at a nonprofit, foundation, or corporate setting. Experience in early career exploration, post-secondary transitions, or career navigation is highly desired.

Compensation: $77Kβ$100K/yr
