Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation ranges for this position are between $120,000 - $180,000.
The tax team is a collaborative, high-impact group within Finance that partners closely with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, and cross-functional leaders. As our International Tax Manager, you will play a key role in shaping Figma’s global tax strategy and compliance posture as we continue to scale internationally. This role will influence cross-border structuring, global expansion, and financial reporting, ensuring we grow thoughtfully and compliantly.
This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you’ll do at Figma:
- Lead U.S. international tax planning (including a small team) and structuring initiatives, including M&A transactions, cross-border investments, expansion into new jurisdictions, and OECD Pillar Two readiness
- Own U.S. international tax provision calculations under ASC 740, including GILTI, Subpart F, foreign tax credits, and related international components of quarterly and annual reporting
- Lead U.S. international tax compliance and information reporting (e.g., Forms 5471, 8858, 8991–8993, 1118), partnering with external advisors to ensure accurate and timely filings
- Be responsible for intercompany transactions and global transfer pricing policies to support compliance and operational efficiency
- Monitor global tax legislative developments, model potential impacts, and communicate recommendations to finance leadership and cross-functional partners
- Support tax-efficient repatriation strategies and other international tax planning initiatives
- Serve as a technical resource for audits, special projects, and cross-functional tax matter
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- 6+ years of U.S. international tax experience, including Big 4 and/or in-house experience at a multinational company
- Demonstrated experience applying ASC 740 and U.S. international tax rules (e.g., GILTI, Subpart F, foreign tax credits, transfer pricing) in a multinational environment
- Experience preparing or reviewing U.S. international information returns, including Forms 5471 and 8858
- Experience preparing or reviewing international components of quarterly and annual tax provisions
While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
- Experience with OECD Pillar Two modeling, readiness, or implementation
- Experience in a SaaS, technology, or high-growth company
- Public company experience
- Master’s in Taxation, CPA license, JD, or LLM
