Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Revenue Accountant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with specific experience in revenue recognition for SaaS businesses. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely revenue reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the financial planning and analysis process.
Key Responsibilities:
· Revenue Recognition: Ensure accurate and timely recognition of revenue in accordance with ASC 606 and other relevant accounting standards.
· Billing and Invoicing: Assist in the billing and invoicing process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with customer contracts.
· Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reports, providing insights and recommendations to management.
· Audit Support: Assist with external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations related to revenue transactions.
· Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of revenue accounting operations.
· Collaboration: Work closely with sales, customer success, and legal teams to ensure alignment on revenue-related matters and contract terms.
· Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA is preferred.
· Experience: 3+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on revenue recognition in a SaaS or technology company.
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct) and advanced Excel skills.
· Knowledge: Strong understanding of ASC 606 and other relevant accounting standards and billings bases reporting.
· Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
· Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
· Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
