Role Snapshot

Support Common Sense Media's IT operations team as a summer intern, providing technical support and documentation for a mission-driven nonprofit. Gain hands-on experience in IT operations, system administration, and process improvement while supporting staff across the organization.

Key Responsibilities: Assist with day-to-day IT operations including troubleshooting workplace tools (Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, Asana), installing and configuring MacBook laptops, and providing customer service-focused technical support. Document procedures, create guides, and participate in special projects focused on IT onboarding/offboarding workflows and systems optimization.
Skills & Tools: Strong technical documentation and process writing abilities, proficiency in both Mac and Windows environments, and troubleshooting skills for common workplace tools. Customer service-minded approach, detail-oriented organizational skills, and experience with help desk or remote technical support preferred.
Qualifications: Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, information systems, or related field (rising junior or senior); master's degree in IT or related field preferred. Previous help desk or technical support experience is beneficial but not required.
Location: San Francisco, California
Compensation: $25/hr
