Role Snapshot
Principal Platform Software Architect role at Finalsite to lead the design and evolution of next-generation platform architecture across K-12 education technology products, ensuring scalability, security, and modernization while mentoring engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities: Establish and implement platform architecture across products, lead modernization initiatives, partner with engineering teams on shared services and APIs, drive platform governance and best practices, and conduct design reviews while contributing directly to code and solution design.
Skills & Tools: Expertise in microservices, API frameworks, cloud environments (AWS/GCP), container orchestration, and CI/CD processes; strong mentoring, communication, and technical leadership abilities.
Qualifications: 10+ years of software engineering or architecture experience with focus on SaaS platforms; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required (Master's preferred); EdTech experience is a plus.
Location: Connecticut
Compensation: $150K–$200K/yr
