Role Snapshot
The Serials & Electronic Resources Manager oversees the management, licensing, and vendor relations for the university library's digital and print resources while supporting academic curricula. This Librarian III position is responsible for maintaining electronic resources access, metadata management, and departmental operations within Tarleton State University's library system.
Key Responsibilities: Manage electronic resources acquisition, licensing, and vendor negotiations while assessing and selecting digital and print materials based on user needs and cost-effectiveness. Oversee all Serials and E-Resources Department operations including metadata maintenance, remote storage organization, and provide reference and instructional services to support university programs.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency with library automated systems, electronic resource management systems, and strong knowledge of current acquisitions and electronic resources trends. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with competency in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Library or Information Science is required. Four years of related academic library experience is required.
Location: Stephenville, Texas
Compensation: From $50K/yr
