Role Snapshot
The Programmer II role at Community College of Baltimore County involves maintaining enterprise applications and supporting the full software development lifecycle from requirements analysis through implementation. The position requires independent project work while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal system performance.
Key Responsibilities: Develop, test, and maintain application programs using SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, and Shell scripting to support enterprise administrative systems. Debug applications, analyze functional and technical requirements, collaborate with database and system engineers, and create technical documentation while providing Tier II enterprise system support.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency in programming languages including Java, JavaScript, SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, and Linux Shell Scripting. At least one relevant technical certification (Linux Professional Institute, Oracle Database SQL, Microsoft Certified roles, or equivalent) and strong analytical and collaboration abilities.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in information technology and a minimum of four years of experience supporting enterprise-level administrative systems. Passing score on programming assessment and completion of at least one technical certification from the College's Programmer Certification Matrix are required.

Compensation: $75K–$100K/yr
