JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized coordinator to temporarily support our Communications team. This role will provide critical administrative support to ensure smooth operations and project coordination during a short-term period.

LOCATION: San Francisco, California

REPORTS TO: Vice President, Communications

SALARY: $25.00โ€“$30.00 per hour

TYPE: Full-time, non-exempt, temporary

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide administrative support to the Communications team, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and note-taking.
  • Track media coverage of Common Sense Media.
  • Compile materials to support other members of the Communications team.
  • Take detailed notes at meetings.
  • Alert other members of the Communications team to relevant breaking news developments.
  • Maintain and organize team documentation, files, and records.
  • Coordinate internal and external communications, including email management and correspondence.
  • Assist with event planning and logistics for team activities and presentations.
  • Process expense reports and handle basic budget tracking.
  • Liaise with other departments to facilitate cross-functional projects.
  • Support the preparation of communications materials and presentations.
  • Track project timelines and follow up on action items.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1โ€“3 years of previous communications, marketing, or PR experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Experience with project management tools (specify any particular tools that you've used in your work).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Professional demeanor and customer service orientation.
  • Adaptability and capability to work in a fast-paced environment.
