The purpose of this class is to perform administrative and technical work in support of the College's communications and/or network infrastructure.

 Associate's degree and three years of IT experience or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or Telecommunications preferred and one (1) years of IT experience. Knowledge of network configuration and troubleshooting procedures. Industry and Network Certifications preferred such as; Net+, Security+ and CCNA certifications preferred.

  1. Provide technical support for ongoing projects within the Information Technology department.
  2. Serve as a member of the team which provides Tier III support to the Support Center, including the Help Desk.
  3. Diagnose problems escalated by the Support Center and Tech Support Staff.
  4. Install, configure, administer, and maintain of network infrastructure.
  5. Install, configure, administer, and maintain telephone infrastructure.
  6. Perform network security risk assessments, incident response, and remediation.
  7. Provide support for upgrades, rollouts and special projects, and events, as required.
