Summary

A full-time summer internship in product marketing at OCLC where interns gain hands-on experience marketing software services for libraries while participating in an innovative AI capstone project. The role offers meaningful exposure to marketing strategy and technology innovation.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct market research, review marketing campaigns, draft communications for internal and external audiences, manage content distribution, update marketing materials, develop presentations, and support the annual Global Sales Meeting. Interns will also participate in an AI capstone project exploring innovative solutions.
Skills & Tools: Strong organizational abilities, effective written and verbal communication, teamwork, creativity, and ability to work under pressure on multiple initiatives. Experience with AI technologies and general understanding of marketing concepts and strategies required.
Qualifications: Currently enrolled in college with at least one year of completed coursework at the time of the internship. Preferred experience with AI technologies through projects or coursework and understanding of marketing concepts.
Location: Hybrid in Dublin, Ohio, United States of America (3 days in-office, May 19 - August 8, 2025)
Compensation: $15 – $25/hour

The Job Details are as follows:

You'll participate in a dynamic AI capstone project, exploring innovative solutions and contributing to our AI strategy. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience and make a meaningful impact!

This internship offers the opportunity to learn skills involved in marketing the wide range of software services we provide to libraries. It’s our job to make sure that we are effectively communicating how our products can solve the problems library staff face in their work. We do this by developing and executing plans that raise awareness of those services, explain the benefits to libraries, and support a great experience after purchase.

The internship will occur from May 19, 2025 to August 8, 2025. This is a full-time role during our summer hours, offering a hybrid work environment with three days in-office at our headquarters in Dublin, Ohio.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct online market and competitive research.
  • Review an existing marketing campaign to determine opportunities and wins.
  • Draft content for business communications to internal and external audiences.
  • Help manage and coordinate the distribution of communications.
  • Update or write new marketing content, such as talking points for sales teams.
  • Help develop and edit presentations, including PowerPoint slides, speaker notes, etc.
  • Help compile and review customer lists for email campaigns.
  • Participate in preparation for our annual Global Sales Meeting.
  • Participate in a dynamic AI capstone project, exploring innovative solutions and contributing to our AI strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in college with at least one year of completed coursework. Candidates must be currently enrolled as students at the time of the internship.
  • Experience with AI technologies, including practical application in projects or coursework.
  • General understanding of marketing concepts and strategies
  • Organization and planning: Ability to understand and determine priorities, effectively manage time, and develop work plans to accomplish tasks and/or projects
