Material Handler-Special Projects at Macmillan Learning's Gordonsville facility performs advanced warehouse duties including operating machinery, managing product preparation, and ensuring accurate shipping of books and components.
Key Responsibilities: Follow work order instructions, operate shrink-wrap and stretch-wrapping machinery, pack books accurately in cartons, prepare kit/display components, and keep management informed of inventory issues, shortages, and assembly problems.
Skills & Tools: Strong communication, reading comprehension, and mathematical skills (counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing); ability to follow simple instructions, apply common sense reasoning, and work with warehouse management systems (WMS).
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds and meet physical demands including standing, walking, bending, stooping, and using hands to handle tools and controls.
Location: Gordonsville, Virginia
Compensation: $30K–$40K/yr
