Role Snapshot
Head of Software Architecture role at Finalsite leading enterprise-wide architectural vision for a K-12 community relationship management SaaS platform serving 7,000+ schools. This senior technical leader will drive modernization initiatives, establish engineering standards, and ensure products scale reliably while supporting private equity-backed growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities: Define and own the enterprise architecture vision, lead the architecture roadmap including modernization and cloud transformation, establish architecture principles and standards across engineering teams, and conduct design reviews and technical governance forums. Partner with CTO, VP of Engineering, Product, Security, and SRE teams to deliver architectural solutions, reduce technical debt, and ensure secure-by-design frameworks.
Skills & Tools: 15+ years in software engineering or architecture with deep SaaS architecture experience and expertise in cloud environments (AWS/GCP). Strong communication and collaboration skills with ability to influence across business, product, and engineering leadership.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred) with experience in large software-delivery organizations. Demonstrated capability to balance long-term architectural strategy with execution and ability to mentor senior engineers.
Location: United States
Compensation: $180K–$240K/yr
